Your membership includes three guest passes upon joining. All YMCA guests must show a picture ID and provide contact information. Guest passes can be purchased at all branches.
Yes, financial assistance is available for a membership and/or programs. You can apply by filling out an application that can be picked up at any of the five branches or on-line. Please speak to a Welcome Center staff at your local Y for more information or visit our Financial Assistance page.
Yes, you can purchase a day a pass at all of the branches excluding the Westside YMCA. At the Westside YMCA you must be accompanied by a current YMCA member.
Membership includes a one-time joining fee and monthly dues. Most members pay dues through a monthly bank draft via checking, savings, debit, or credit card but you can also pay for your membership in full every six months. If you give an email address when you sign up for a Y membership you will have access to an online account. Learn more about your online account and registration here.
At the Y, there are no contracts so you can cancel anytime. If you need to cancel your membership you can do so by visiting any of the branches and this request can be processed up until closing of the day prior to your draft. If your need is to cancel a person’s membership that is on your membership, you can do that at any of the branches and it will take effect at the end of the membership month. If you have a paid in full six month membership, there is no cancellation option. If there is a medical reason you need to cancel, please contact the Membership Director at your home branch.

YMCA On-line is a member registration system that the Y uses to manage multiple facilities and hundreds of programs centrally. With YMCA On-line, you can enjoy the added convenience of doing business with the Y from any device, with enhanced security features and easy registration options.
With YMCA On-Line you can register for activities at the Y online, allowing you to quickly and easily sign up for Y programs, view availability for member benefit classes, update payment information and more. This easy-to-use system is here to better serve you.
If you are a member with an email address on file, you already have an account through Lansing YMCA On-line. Go to our website at lansingymca.org and click YMCA On-Line in the upper right hand corner of the website, when you get to YMCA On-Line click the sign in button. On the login page, click “forget your password?” and type in the email address that you gave to communicate with the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing when you signed up for your membership. An email will be sent to you with your password.
If you are a member without an email address on file, or you do not know your email address that you use to communicate with the Y, then get started by calling the YMCA and we will get you set up. 517-827-9622.
If you are not a member, you can still sign up for an account to see all of the offerings at our branches! To become a member, though, you’ll have to visit a branch.
When you are prompted to sign in, check the Forgot your Password box and click Continue. You will be requested to provide the email address you used to create your account. To protect your information, after providing your email address, you will be requested to verify your identity by providing your first and last name as well as your date of birth. Upon submission, an email will be sent to you containing a temporary password. Upon signing in, you will be prompted to change your password.
