Boxing Bootcamp: Kick, punch and sweat your way to better fitness with this dynamic workout! 


Stretch & Mobility: Lisa has added this great class to help you stretch out and increase your range of motion after a week of strength and conditioning! This class will occasionally include floor work!


Therapeutic Tai Chi: A large majority of Americans over 65 have one or more chronic health conditions. Tow of the largest casual factors of "age related chronic illness" are the lack of regular physical activity and long periods of low level stress. Therapeutic forms of tai chi and qi gong exercises directly recognize and address these factors with low impact and meditative body movements that are readily accessible at any age or current physical condition

Downtown YMCA:

POUND - Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums!  Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. Tuesday’s 5:15 - 5:45pm with Carolyn.

Power Unlimited - This is for the beginning lifters interested in learning better technique with the big three lifts; Squat, deadlift, and bench press. The class will utilize other exercises to assist with the performance of these lifts as well. If you are new to free weights or have little experience, this class is for you! A qualified professional will break down each movement and ensure everything is done in a safe, fun, yet non-competitive manner. Price includes Tuesday AND Thursday 6:00-6:45pm on the Fitness Floor with Casey. 

Frequent Flyer Challenge - Do you love our group fitness and SGT classes? So do we! That's why in the month of March, if you participate in our frequent flyer competition, you will be entered to win a prize! Pick up a card at the front desk for free, attend as many group fitness & SGT classes and receive a sticker for each class. Whoever gets the most stickers in the month earns a prize! If there is a tie, there will be a drawing. Regardless, we will pin your achievements in the lobby! Inquire at the Downtown YMCA for more information.

Oak Park YMCA:

Power Yoga: This class incorporates all of the benefits of Yoga, with some added challenge. Participants are welcome to practice at their own pace, but options will be given if you are looking for some more intensity! 


Tai-Chi: Derived from a style of shadowboxing, tai chi is a gentle exercise program that instills many health benefits such as lower b lood pressure, higher stability and flexibility, improved circulation and reduced pain. 

Tabata: This 30 minute class will keep you burning calories for hours after. Intense intervals of cardio and strength will blast your body.

Small Group Personal Training: Looking for an accountability group for your fitness journey? Look no further! Join our small group personal training session! Through this program you will gain strength, increase endurance, improve form, maximize efficiency and meet a great group of people to work out with! Beginner-Advanced.  Wednesdays at 6:00 pm


Silver Sneakers Strength: This class focuses on chair aerobics and strength exercises to help improve strength, range of motion and balance. Silver Sneakers members welcome as well as regular members. Great for beginners!      Beginner.  Fee: Y Members FREE, Non-Members $10 per class.

Bootcamp: Strength train your body in a new and challenging way! This class combines dynamic cardiovascular movements focusing specifically on muscular endurance exercises. Both the upper and lower body are moving at all times during strength exercises, adding a great cardio workout to your weight training routine! Beginner—Advanced. Westside YMCA:

New Classes: 

Restorative Yoga : Restorative Yoga is a practice that’s good for everyone, regardless of gender, age, size, or athletic ability. This class encourages the use of props to create comfortable seated or reclined postures for total relaxation during practice. Students typically hold these postures longer in order to lengthen the connective tissue that surrounds the joints and increase its elasticity. This technique prevents injury, promotes joint health, and is especially beneficial if you are experiencing stress or exhaustion and anxiety. Tuesday 7:00-8:00pm, YMCA Member $14, Guest $40
Yoga Flow Vinyasa: Vinyasa style class, poses described in detail, the teacher will move around the room verbally instructing and giving hands-on adjustments to get students into alignment. The focus of class is on linking breath to movement, increasing mindfulness, building strength, and increasing flexibility/mobility. All levels welcome, there is always modifications available and opportunity for advancing poses. This class provides a safe and non-judgmental space for all students to grow and learn about yoga, Namaste! Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm, YMCA Member $14, Guest $40
RPM Fitness:
RPM fitness allows individuals to sculpt the body to perform sports like professionals through conditioning, cardio, high intensity movement. Class is offered as a beginners to advance 13 years old +.  Tuesday 6pm to 7:15pm,Y Member $14    Guest $40
