Oak Park Triathlon Team

The Oak Park YMCA proudly offers triathlon teams for both adults and youth. All skill levels are welcome as training is separated into various groups. Our training program begins each January and runs through the end of May.

Oak Park Tri Team Virtual Bike and Social Distance Run

Tuesday Evening Ride 6:30p-7:30p:

This is a triathlon/cycling specific coach lead virtual ride that will get you ready for outdoor riding in the spring. All ability levels are welcome as workouts will be based on rate of perceived exertion (RPE) and Heart rate zones. Workouts will be 60 minutes long and build in intensity over each session to help riders increase their ability to ride at harder efforts. All rides will be streamed via zoom. Each participant will receive an email from Coach Alexa with the link and password to the session after they register. All workouts will be recorded and available for participants to use for one week. *Athletes must have their own bike, trainer, and access to zoom.

 

Saturday Morning Ride 8:00a-9:30a:

This is a triathlon/cycling specific coach lead virtual ride that will get you ready for outdoor riding in the spring. Workouts will be 90 minutes long and build in intensity over each session to help riders increase their endurance. All rides will be streamed via zoom. Each participant will receive an email from Coach Alexa with the link and password to the session after they register. All workouts will be recorded and available for participants to use for one week.  *Athletes must have their own bike, trainer, and access to zoom.

 

Sunday Morning Run 8:00am:

For this coach lead run participants will have the option to meet for a socially distanced outdoor group run with a specific workout provided by a Coach or do the workout on their own at the time and place of their choosing. The workout for the day will be sent out each week along with the meeting place for the in person run.

Saturday Bike Only 8:00-9:30a    Jan. 23-Feb.13 $30.00

Sunday  Run only  8:00a             Jan 24-Feb.14   $5.00
